FOBANA Youth Club is established to develop the leadership skills of Bangladeshi American/Canadian youth (age 13-25) through various cultural and community | development initiatives. Under the guidance of FOBANA Central Committee, this new generation members are expected to develop various creative ideas to unite, support, and motivate thousands of young North American Bangladeshis to be successful academically and socially. This new united force is expected to help share knowledge and talents between USA/Canada and Bangladesh.
The goals of FOBANA Youth Club (FYC) are:
1. Unite young Bangladeshi Americans/Canadians living within their own city or state. Multiple FOBANA Youth Clubs may be established within the same city or state through high-school or other local programs.
2. Promote Bangladeshi culture and heritage through local cultural events involving Bengali language classes, music, arts etc.
3. Develop and execute various community initiatives to address the needs young Bangladeshis living within USA/Canada. Examples of the initiates include poverty alleviation, arrange tutoring/counseling for underprivileged students, provide counseling services by arranging seminars/webinars, organize exchange programs between Bangladesh and USA/Canada, establish programs to prevent school harassment/bullying, participate international cultural exchange programs to demonstrate the rich culture and heritage of Bangladesh. 4. Collaborate with other youth clubs and host joint programs for the common initiatives. This may make the initiatives more successful.
5. Connect with the local and international non-profit organizations, working shoulder to shoulder to build sustainable solutions alleviate poverty, respond to humanitarian crises, ensure social justice, and help create a community where all people live with dignity and security.
Structure of the FOBANA Youth Club:
1. Each FOBANA Youth Club (FYC) is led by one or more youth co-leaders who are responsible in recruiting clu responsible in recruiting club members living within their same city or state.
2. The co-leaders must have reasonable experiences in Bengali language and Bangladeshi culture/heritage. To be a member or coleader, one must apply online by completing the online registration form. All interested individuals must apply by completing the FYC application form.
3. One or more experienced FOBANA advisers will be assigned to provide local guidance. 4. All coleaders of FOBANA Youth Clubs from different cities and states must arrange
joint meetings every 60 days to exchange ideas and report progress.
5. For any new initiatives, formal proposals must be submitted to FYC advisory committee and FOBANA Executive Committee.

4. Receive voluntary hours through active participation with FOBANA Youth Club. 5. Receive leadership award certificates if the FYC youth members carryout successful leadership roles to broaden the club’s activities.
6. Opportunity to serve as executive members of FOBANA Central Committee when the individual turns 25 years old or more.
7. Opportunity to be recognized at FOBANA Convention every year based on the achievements of the club leaders and club members.
